ADDING SUPPORT STRUCTURE

To add a support structure to your jewelry pieces, we recommend the following settings in Creation Workshop as shown in figure 1. We recommend adding supports manually, instead of using automatic option.

Note

Jewelry pieces are usually delicate, therefore you can use 0.4 mm instead of 0.6mm as tip of support pins.

IMPROVING DETAIL ON PRINTED OBJECTS

To print in 50 um layer thickness, we recommend to use the following settings:

Layer Thickness (µm): 50. Bottom Exposure (s): 100. Nº of bottom layers: 10. Lift Distance (mm): 1. Top Delay **(s): 2.5. Bottom Delay* (s): 7. Z lift Speed (mm/m): 15. Z built Speed (mm/m): 15. Z Retract Speed (mm/m): 15.

ORIENTATION OF DESIGN

If you have some fine details (about 0.3 mm thick) it is preferable to position these along length of screen. By doing this you can achieve a better quality and keep the fine details. For example in figure 3, the left side, orientation is more preferred.

CHANGING THE BACKGROUND COLOR

To achieve higher definition of fine features, you can change the background color to red and then slice your parts via Creation Workshop software. The following steps explain how to set it up.Click on File> Preferences > Select Background color> Select Red color. Press OK, and then Re-slice. Make sure to choose pure Red with no Green or Blue, as shown in figure 4.

Check new slices on Slice View. Slice View should have changed to something similar to image below as shown in figure 5.
